Terms of Service

1. Rental Agreement

The rental agreement between you (the "Renter") and Frattdisgr Car Rentals (the "Company") consists of:

• The rental document signed at the time of vehicle pickup
• These Terms of Service
• Any additional terms provided at the time of rental

Together, these documents form the entire agreement between the Renter and the Company and supersede all prior agreements or understandings, whether oral or written.

2. Eligibility Requirements

2.1 Driver's License

All drivers must possess a valid driver's license that has been held for at least one year. For non-Singapore residents, an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with the original domestic license is required.

2.2 Age Requirements

The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 23 years. Drivers aged 23-25 or over 70 may be subject to additional fees or restrictions for certain vehicle classes.

2.3 Payment Method

A valid credit card in the Renter's name is required for all rentals. Debit cards may be accepted in certain circumstances but may require additional verification and security deposit.

3. Reservation and Cancellation

3.1 Reservation

Reservations can be made online through our website, by phone, or in person at our rental locations. A reservation guarantees a vehicle of the selected category, but not a specific make or model.

3.2 Confirmation

All reservations will be confirmed by email. The confirmation includes details of the rental, including dates, vehicle category, rate, and any additional services requested.

3.3 Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees depend on when the cancellation is made:

• More than 48 hours before pickup: No cancellation fee
• 24-48 hours before pickup: 25% of the total rental price
• Less than 24 hours before pickup: 50% of the total rental price
• No-show: 100% of the total rental price

4. Vehicle Pickup and Return

4.1 Pickup Procedure

At the time of pickup, the Renter must present:

• A valid driver's license (and IDP if applicable)
• The credit card used for the reservation
• Proof of identity (passport or Singapore NRIC)
• Any other documentation specified in the reservation confirmation

4.2 Vehicle Inspection

The Renter and a Company representative will inspect the vehicle together prior to departure. Any existing damage will be noted on the rental agreement. The Renter is encouraged to take photographs of the vehicle's condition at pickup.

4.3 Return Procedure

The vehicle must be returned:

• To the location specified in the rental agreement
• On or before the date and time specified in the rental agreement
• In the same condition as at pickup, except for normal wear and tear
• With the same amount of fuel as at pickup (unless a pre-paid fuel option was purchased)

4.4 Late Return

Late returns may incur additional charges. A grace period of 29 minutes is allowed. After this period, an additional day's rental may be charged.

5. Rental Charges

5.1 Base Rate

The base rental rate includes:

• Vehicle use for the specified rental period
• Standard insurance coverage (subject to deductible)
• Maintenance and roadside assistance

5.2 Additional Charges

Additional charges may include:

• Insurance upgrades or deductible reduction options
• Additional driver fees
• Fuel charges (if returned with less fuel than at pickup)
• Late return fees
• Cleaning fees (for excessive soiling)
• Traffic fines or penalties incurred during the rental period
• Equipment rental (GPS, child seats, etc.)
• Delivery or collection fees

5.3 Security Deposit

A security deposit will be pre-authorized on the Renter's credit card at the time of pickup. The amount varies based on the vehicle category and rental duration. This deposit will be released upon satisfactory return of the vehicle, though the time it takes for the funds to become available may depend on the Renter's bank.

6. Insurance and Liability

6.1 Standard Insurance

All rentals include basic insurance coverage with a deductible amount specified in the rental agreement. This covers:

• Third-party liability
• Collision damage (subject to deductible)
• Theft protection (subject to deductible)

6.2 Insurance Exclusions

The insurance does not cover:

• Damage to tires, windshield, or undercarriage
• Damage caused by negligence or violation of rental terms
• Personal belongings in the vehicle
• Damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Damage caused by an unauthorized driver

6.3 Additional Insurance Options

The Renter may purchase additional insurance options to reduce or eliminate the deductible or to cover items excluded from the standard insurance.

7. Renter's Responsibilities

7.1 Vehicle Use

The Renter agrees to:

• Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes
• Not use the vehicle for hire or reward
• Not use the vehicle for racing or speed testing
• Not use the vehicle to push or tow other vehicles
• Not drive the vehicle outside of Singapore unless specifically authorized in writing
• Not use the vehicle to transport dangerous or prohibited goods
• Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair driving ability

7.2 Care of the Vehicle

The Renter is responsible for:

• Locking the vehicle when not in use
• Safeguarding the vehicle keys
• Monitoring oil and coolant levels, tire pressure, and other indicators
• Reporting any mechanical issues promptly
• Using the correct type of fuel

7.3 Authorized Drivers

Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle. Adding drivers not listed in the agreement will result in the insurance being voided and may lead to additional penalties.

8. Accidents and Emergencies

8.1 Accident Procedure

In case of an accident, the Renter must:

• Ensure the safety of all persons involved
• Contact emergency services if necessary
• Notify the Company immediately
• Obtain details of all parties involved, including witnesses
• Not admit liability or fault
• Complete an accident report form
• Notify the police if required by law or if there are injuries

8.2 Breakdown Procedure

In case of vehicle breakdown, the Renter should:

• Move the vehicle to a safe location if possible
• Contact the Company's roadside assistance service
• Not attempt repairs without the Company's authorization

9. Privacy and Data

The Company collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using our services, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

10. Website Use

10.1 Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of the Company or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

10.2 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Use our website in any way that may damage, disable, or impair the site
• Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device to access the website
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website
• Create links to our website without our express written consent

11. Changes to These Terms

The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
